Barbara's debut instrumental album  S C A P E S  was released in 2008 by the Judmusic Records label and was followed this year by IN THE SHADOWS OF ROASTING SPRING, a similar collection of short, very visual, sound pictures describing landscapes, seascapes and spacescapes.  Composed in an alternative classical style  fused with folk, world, and contemporary influences, both albums can be bought online as digital downloads.  Hard copy CDs are available too.

        Songs 

Barbara has studied songwriting and has won a double semi-finalist position for the last three years running in the UK Songwriting Contest (see overview tab for more information).

Photographic artwork is a comparatively recent phenomenon.  A  well-chosen photograph can give you something unusual, distinctive and evocative that will grace your home or workplace.  Our art prints can remind you of the beauty that waits in the great outdoors!  Our photographic style is about enjoying a fresh take on the subject matter and making full use of all the blurs, flares and focus differentials that are peculiar to the photographic medium.

Our photographic artwork will soon be available to buy online.  Take a look at the pictures posted so far by clicking on the tab opposite.  Click on each picture to view an enlargement - this will also give you a more accurate idea of the actual dimensions.  Each photograph available for online viewing is embedded with a visible anti-theft sentence.  The originals are top quality files and the prints will have nothing to spoil the viewing! 

Many of our pieces are characterised by an effect similar to watercolour.  Some of the image (occasionally only tiny parts) will be in sharp focus leaving the rest to blur and bleed into gorgeous colours.  

WEEDWORLD

These photographs are studies of favourite (or most infamous) weeds.  Barbara says, "Weeds are most misunderstood.  In their own world they are abundant and beautiful,  Kings, Queens and countries all of their own.  No one plants or tends them yet they are always fresh, green and strong growing!  This collection is for anyone else who loves these plants as much as I do!  I have included a selection of my clover photographs as well as all sorts of seedheads including dandelion clocks, teazles and poppy pepperpots." 

LANDSCAPES

This is an evocative collection of seasonal landscapes, flora and fauna all taken in and around the tiny village of Brandon in Warwickshire.

                        Lyrics

Barbara  both writes and composes her own songs.  She is equally at home writing lyrics to other people's melodies and composing melodies to other people's lyrics.  She is comfortable in most genres but would not choose hip hop or rap simply because it 'just doesn't come naturally to me'. 

                               Screenwriting

Barbara is experienced in many kinds of writing, including screenwriting (click on the tab in 'overview' for more information).  At the present time we are not working with unsolicited manuscripts.
